Queer doula Melissa Haley of Chicago clients at comfort measures class at Burr Ridge Birth Center

Mel is incredibly knowledgeable about various pain management approaches. They formatted the class in stations where the birthing person and partner could practice together a combination of techniques. This helped us figure out which variations we preferred and we even left feeling more connected as a couple going into this birth experience.

Maggie, September 2024

My husband and I did the comfort and coping class and it was amazing! Great class and one I would highly recommend! You and your partner get to learn new comfort techniques and tricks to help cope during labor. My partner and I both felt much more confident after this class in doing these exercises! He felt he was able to learn things that would allow him to better help support me during my labor process and be the best “pit crew” he could be.
